Wednesday 17th June was a night of learning for 14 committed HSC Hospitality students. It was also a night of scrumptious food and catch-up for invited guests that included parents of the Year 12 class, school staff and staff from Liverpool Workplace Learning Partnership. Year 12 William Carey student, Kathy Horner, won the 2008 Youth Volunteer of the Year award from the Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre. The HSC student, 17, received the award for her community service and volunteer work at our school.

She talked to Torin Chen of the Liverpool Leader as reported in 22nd April edition of the newspaper.
