We believe that each family member is a valued part of our William Carey Community. Have a look at what some of them have to say about our school.
WCCS has been a wonderful place to watch my children learn and grow into confident, respectful individuals. My eldest started in Kindy back in 2010 and the care and dedication by staff has been life-shaping for all four of my children. WCCS, in my opinion, is unlike many schools in that it has a very rich community feel. I have seen first-hand how caring each teacher and staff member is and the many opportunities offered to students to excel and succeed. My children have benefited in being nurtured by loving, Christian teachers who work with them and the families to ensure they have every opportunity to succeed. Having a child with additional needs has also highlighted the amazing learning support team and intervention offered. They are amazing at identifying needs and providing workable adjustments and solutions.
My experience of WCCS is, I always found them to be approachable, supportive and helpful concerning my children's education and wellbeing. William Carey is a great school. It has beautiful families, great learning support system and the Christian values of the school. My child has benefited through the support, love and care through the learning support team and the staff.
Our experience at William Carey has been wonderful. From remote learning to exceptional teaching staff over the last four years from Prep to now. My daughter has made amazing friendships along her WCCS journey and my family are constantly commenting on how wonderful and friendly her peers, students, and staff, are. My daughter is overflowing with love and kindness and we believe, as a family, that WCCS has helped my daughter’s schooling journey by encouraging her in every way possible to ensure she doesn't lose that spark.
We even attend Carey Cubbyhouse - a play group like no other, teaching our youngest family members God-filled ways of life. WCCS Is not only a school community, it's a family. We love WCCS!
I am an old timer having had children at the school continuously from 1999 to now. My experience of William Carey over that time has been positive. I like the Christian values espoused by the school. I am a big fan of being able to start and finish at the same school. The teaching cohort has been stable, meaning that a safe and nurturing environment is provided for the students. The teachers at William Carey are dedicated to the students in a way that probably will not be appreciated fully by them for years to come. As a parent it is comforting to know your children are being taught and cared for by such amazing people, who regularly go above and beyond what is required to ensure the success of their students.
My children have achieved academic and sporting success. I feel that the school encourages the kids to become the best version of themselves they can be as they are encouraged to grow in self-belief and the confidence to make goals and work toward achieving them. All five of my children have made lifelong friends and have enjoyed a positive learning and social environment. With four having moved on to after school life, I can see that the lessons learned have allowed them to confidently move into adulthood and strive to meet new goals.
