Isaac Perez of our graduating class of 2021 attended the SHAPE Showcase, where his Industrial Technology Metal major work was on display. Isaac made a drill press of such a high standard that his work was chosen to be amongst the outstanding major works for the year. Congratulations Isaac!
Drill Mill
Isaac’s hobby is designing, manufacturing and modifying devices, so his goal was to create a machine that would give him greater accuracy in milling and drilling components. Starting with a CAD program he designed the machine then manufactured it to his drawings, using techniques such as facemilling, dovetail milling, welding, surface grinding, band sawing and screw cutting.
