In Term 3, Prep have been experiencing Music lessons with Mrs Lombard. The children have been invited to join the lesson activities and extend their melodic and rhythmic skills through engaging in a wide range of performing, listening and composition activities based on the theme of dinosaurs. The children have been nurtured to learn that God created music, as well as the many natural sounds from things He has made, such as the wind, rain and animals.
There are also sounds made by man whom our Creator God made in His image and redeemed through His Son. God has wonderfully made us to be creative like Him and respond through music to the world around us. Through singing, playing, moving, listening to and organising sound, the children have the opportunity to respond to God in such a way that it would glorify His Name and enjoy the gifts that He has given us.
