Week 1 was full of excitement as we celebrated both Book Week and Grandparents’ Day in the Primary School. This is a much-anticipated event for many staff, as we not only get to share the joy of reading with different classes, but also dress up as our favorite book characters! It’s always a highlight of the term, and we hope you enjoy the images from the day!
Kind regards,

Dear Parents and Carers,
At the beginning of the year, we launched the Year 4 band program, an initiative of WCCS, seeing all 100 of our Year 4 students receiving small group tuition on a musical instrument. We currently have 20 small tutor groups being run on a weekly basis, taught by professional tutors.
Students have been enjoying learning instruments such as flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, percussion, and guitars in these small groups. They’ve also begun rehearsing as class bands in preparation for their upcoming Showcase Afternoon, which will take place in Week 4 on Monday, 4th November.
At the showcase, the Year 4 students will perform for their peers and the current Year 3 students. Parents and Carers of both Year 4 and Year 3 students are warmly invited to attend. This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our Year 4 students and to provide a sneak peek into the Year 4 Band Program for 2025.
We will also be taking expressions of interest for our 2025 Music Talent Development Program. This is an additional program that will be made available in 2025 to current Year 4 students, enabling them to continue their musical journeys into next year and beyond.
