But it starts with the Bad News– that we have all sinned. We have all turned away from God. We have all rejected God. And because God is fair and just, he must punish sin. And God says that the punishment for sin is death and judgment.
As we come to the end of Term 1, we want to express our sincere thanks for your support and involvement in our school community. It has been a wonderful term, and it has been especially great to see parents back on-site for the various events we have held. Thank you for taking the time to join us and for being a part of our school family.
As we step into the Easter break, we are reminded that this is a time when we acknowledge the death and resurrection of Jesus. We live in a fallen world where our sins have separated us from God. However, believing in Jesus allows us to be forgiven and have an eternal relationship with God. It is important to take time during this break to reflect on this message and to appreciate the gift of grace that Jesus has given us.
Please use this upcoming break as a time to rest and recharge. Spending quality time with family and friends is important, so make the most of this opportunity to connect with your loved ones.
Once again, thank you for your ongoing support and participation in our school community. We wish you a restful and enjoyable Easter break, and we look forward to seeing you back in the second term.
God Bless,
Mrs Gillian Coote
Primary Deputy Principal
The really Good News of the Bible is all about the swap that God made so that we can be his friends!
But it starts with the Bad News– that we have all sinned. We have all turned away from God. We have all rejected God. And because God is fair and just, he must punish sin. And God says that the punishment for sin is death and judgment.
But here is the Good News– God sent his son Jesus into this world. Jesus always obeyed God. He never sinned. And Jesus chose to get in trouble for us, to bring us to God! He swapped with me- my sin on him so I can be free from sin and punishment!
Here is how the Bible puts it:
Christ (Jesus) himself died for you. And that one death paid for your sins. He was not guilty, but he died for those who are guilty. He did this to bring you all to God. 1 Peter 3:18 ICB
The Bible says that God has shown us how much he loves us because when we were his enemies Jesus died for us!
The Great Swap: Jesus got in trouble and died for me, so that I am free from sin and guilt and don’t face God’s judgment! Now I can be friends with God!
Do you want Jesus to swap with you so that he gets in trouble instead of you?
Then all you need to do is:
Admit that you have sinned!
Believe that Jesus died as a swap for you!
Commit your life to Jesus as your Lord and Saving King.

Year 6 students have recently undertaken an education tour of the National Capital. Students were given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy.
The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding of $30 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.
Year 6 enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and by all accounts, so did the teachers and parents!
