Well, who would have thought this would be the last newsletter for 2022? Wow, what a fantastic year it has been! This is the first year in a while that all of our events have gone to plan; COVID has not played a role in restricting your involvement. I have shared my excitement with the staff throughout the year in seeing the students’ and parents’ faces as they have participated in the various events. It has been a joy seeing so many of our families being involved in the community here at William Carey. We love having you.
I pray that your upcoming holiday is filled with opportunities to relax and enjoy the company of your loved ones. It is a time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and acknowledge how His life showed us to love, care for and serve those around us.
“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do.” (Ephesians 6:7-8)
I look forward to our adventures in 2023, but before then, have a wonderful Christmas break!
God Bless,
Mrs Gillian Coote
Primary Deputy Principal
Our 2022 Prep students and their families enjoyed their Christmas Prep concert and art show on Wednesday! It was a wonderful evening celebrating the students many creative abilities and we are so excited for them to join us in ‘big school’ at Kindergarten next year! Just look at those beautiful artworks!
Every year, as an act of service, we ask primary school to donate towards the WCCS Christmas Hamper Appeal. This year everyone raised nearly $2,000! Each class also wrote a card to go along with the gift card hampers that will be given to families within our school community, as a blessing at Christmas time. Each class also received a bauble decoration to hang on our Christmas Tree as a symbol of the gifts. Thank you so much to all of the Primary parents and students for your participation and support of our school community.
